Just because the warm sunny days of summer are over doesn’t mean we have to miss out on some simple yet delicious barbeque flavors. Ok, maybe grilling outside in the pouring down rain or snow doesn’t sound appealing but just bear with me and hear me out! Who says we can’t have some of the flavors of summer in our slow cooker? You’ll LOVE how simple and hands off this recipe is!
Over the years I have made many dry rubs that we have enjoyed straight from the grill. This Slow Cooker Dry Rub Chicken is a compilation of some of my favorite flavors from spices I enjoy grilling with. When I have a busy day coming up this is my go to recipe, which helps us avoid frequent drive-thru trips. Also, with Christmas coming up, this is a recipe I will be making a few times while we get through a busy season! It will help me keep my sanity. 😉
Can we dig in now?
When it’s finished I place everything on a serving dish and drizzle it with our favorite barbecue sauce. One of our favorites is Chris & Pritt’s Pop of Pineapple barbecue sauce. I find it at Sprout’s Farmers Market here in California. When we lived in the NW I always found great sauce options at New Season’s Market and Whole Foods Market.
